Theological note: The bill's main subject is ordinary governmental stewardship: provision for those who served, care for the sick and disabled veterans, honoring the dead at national cemeteries, and housing for military families. Scripture commends just provision for those who bear hardship in service and calls rulers to stewardship of public resources. The defense-spending component raises a separate question of whether the military operations being funded are just, which the text does not resolve. Those are issues of relevance for review, not a final judgment on the bill.
