Theological note: Relevant to the sanctity of human life made in God's image (Genesis 9:6), the civil magistrate's duty to restrain violence and punish evildoers (Romans 13:1-4), and the call to peaceable, honest civic life (1 Timothy 2:1-2). This is an issue-relevance note, not a final candidate judgment.
