Peacemaking and de-escalation

Tier 3 - Positive Fitness

Positive evidence that a candidate supported troop withdrawal, restraint, or measures reducing war escalation.

Principle: Peacemaking, restraint, and refusal of needless bloodshed.

Scripture: Micah 4:3, Matthew 5:9, Romans 12:18, James 3:18

Reformed rationale: Magistrates should be slow to shed blood and should pursue peace where justice permits. Measures that restrain escalation and withdraw from needless conflict are positive acts of civil prudence under biblical peacemaking.
